Searching

"But God speaks again and again, though people do not recognize it. He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in bed." -- Job 33:14-15

"It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter." -- Proverbs 25:2

I love dreaming with God. In fact, bedtime is like a treasure hunt. God uses dreams to speak to us, warn us, and give us direction. These dreams can take us on a wild ride and most nights they certainly do! But what I love more than the dreams is the searching. God wants us to search out the messages he conceals in our dreams. The searching is often more important that the actual meaning of the dream because the searching leads us to seek Him, to read the Word, and to pray!

Today's prayer: "God, I love how you speak in dreams and visions of the night, but don't let me ever get so caught up in their meaning that I miss the most important part -- seeking your face!"
